Last weekend we had beautiful weather, and my family and I decided to take advantage of the 70 degree day and go to Hershey Park for the day. We couldn’t have hand-picked more gorgeous weather!
Hershey Park is open on select days through the holidays. We chose a Sunday afternoon when the park was open from 12-9pm. Part of the draw at this time of year is Christmas Candy Lane which includes a music and light display, photo ops with Santa, visiting with live reindeer, and a drive through 2 miles of Christmas lights.
The larger roller coasters are closed at this time of year, but there were still plenty of thrills for the older kids in our family. Crowds were small, at most our children waited for one group to go before them in line. Some rides we got on more than once because there was no line at all!
The cost at this time of year is $10.95/per person, with children aged 2 and under free. The cost includes a visit to ZooAmerica, a small zoo that highlights plant and animal species from North America. We were thoroughly impressed with the displays, cleanliness, and cool factor of ZooAmerica. Our favorite exhibit was in the Southwest region where inside it was dark so you could view nocturnal animals awake during the day.
To save even more money be sure to pack some snacks, water bottles, and a bit of cash for Chocolate World treats and souvenirs. A family of 4 could easily spend half a day at Hershey Park for less than $75.
Have you been to Hershey Park?
