Buggy’s Boutique- A Little Girl’s Pamper-Me Haven!

June 27, 2013

Let me preface this by saying I am so NOT girly-girly.  Prior to meeting my college best friend, my idea of make-up was Chapstick.  A few years later, a coworker took me shopping and forced me to accept color into my wardrobe.  I’m a pony-tail and sweats-loving SAHM.  So, of course, the universe gave me 3 daughters, and so far 2 of them are super girly-girls.  At 4 and 2.5, they know what they want to wear, how they want their hair done, and already have quite the assortment of shoes.  And you know what, I’m totally okay with it…now.  At this point, I have realized it’s okay to celebrate being feminine and loving every inch of who you are!

If you have little ladies who are all about showcasing every inch of their beautifulness, then you have got to check out Buggy’s Boutique in Downingtown.  Locals, I’m sure you’ve noticed the new shop at 111 E. Lancaster Avenue near Coffee Cup.  “Buggy’s Boutique is a girls party venue and boutique devoted to keeping all of your beloved little girls happy and smiling!”  Oh my goodness is it ridiculously cute!  The owner, Mia, has it decorated in bright pinks and teals.  It’s inviting and feels personal, special, and girly- and for any age too.  Our party had girls ages 2.5 to 5, and they all equally enjoyed every second of the pamper-fest.  I imagine my friends’ ten year old would go gaga over the scene too.  Many of the moms in our group commented on how we would love that royal treatment just as much!

Up-do’s!

Here’s how the royal treatment went down:  At 11:00 the girls got  comfortable with the setting by dancing on the stage where they could watch themselves in the television hung on the wall.  Then they all got their up-do’s done, color sprays, tiaras and all!  After that, they ate a lunch in the very spacious and adorably set up party room.  The 10 girls feasted on the pizza and lemonade that was provided.  I didn’t even have to worry about paper products!  After they wolfed down their lunches they went to get nails and toes painted.  The team at Buggy’s has this system down to a science.  They worked together to get every girl pampered as efficiently as possible, while also making each child feel individually special by talking to her about her name, favorites, age, and so on.  Next, the girls got glitter hearts and stars and other sparkly decor on their faces, some even had a simple make up application too!  The whole party concluded at about 1:15.  It went by so fast, every minute filled with pampering fun.  Our GIRL PARTY was a huge success!!!!

I’m all about supporting local businesses, especially small ones like this.  Sure, there are other kid-focused salons in Chester County, but I doubt there’s any that are this intimate.  It was awesome, I just can’t emphasize that enough.  Mia keeps her doors shut unless it’s an appointment or a party, so you can be sure to have a personal, private experience.  I suggest calling (610) 269-1115 and then following up with an email info@buggysboutique.com.  Plan your special event or birthday party at Buggy’s where you can choose your theme or they will customize a party just for you!  Whether you call to schedule a simple salon service like a manicure for your cherub and her BFF, or to get a feather in your daughters hair before vacation, or to celebrate her birthday with nine of her closest gal pals, Buggy’s Boutique is sure to be a memorable experience that will celebrate the beautiful girl she truly is!

Samantha in her element,
