Be still my ever loving New Jersey Reality Show obsessed heart… Gayle from the STYLE Channel show, Jerseylicious is coming to Chester County to support a great cause!
From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 25th, Calista Grand — in the Commons of Thornbury at routes 202 and 926 — will host “Calistalicious“, a “fun-raiser” that will raise cash for cancer survivors and those in treatment.
“Calistalicious 2011″ will be an eight-hour cut-a-thon in which Calista Grand staff will attempt 350 haircuts. The goal is to out-snip the current Guinness Book of World Records top number of 300 cuts in eight hours set by the Gatsby Salon of cable TV’s “Jerseylicious” fame. Gatsby Salon Owner, Gayle Giacomo is also scheduled to attend the event aslong with Martino Cartier from cable TV’s “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover”; renowned stylist Nick Berardi and celebrity stylist Karen Lafferty.
Haircuts during the cut-a-thon are available for a $10 minimum donation. Proceeds from Sunday’s event will be donated to two charities: SHINE, which benefits The Cancer Program of The Chester County Hospital, and Jordan Baumeister, a local man in his 20s who is fighting sarcoma, a type of cancer that develops in certain tissues.
Chester County Moms is happy to participate in this event as we are giving away a raffle basket jam packed with Baby Goodies. There will also be sports memorabilia from the Phillies and the Eagles and lots of other raffle baskets up for grabs… oh, and a CAR! Land Rover of West Chester is giving away a new car! Whoa!
