Clappy Happy Valentines – Free Printable from The Twinery

February 11, 2013
Hello Chester County Moms!
It‘s Nicole from The Twinery here with a fun valentine idea
…a “Clappy” Happy Valentine!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner and with most schools asking for children to bring in non-candy valentines due to allergies – we know that not every child wants to hand out pencils.
That’s why I wanted to come up with a unique & cute non-candy treat to hand out for Valentine‘s Daya heart clapper with a cute valentine message!
I found these adorable heart shaped clappers from Oriental Trading and created a free printable valentine tag – together, they make the perfect non-candy valentine to hand out!
I thought of a few silly valentine messages to go along with the heart shaped hand clappers…
“Valentine, You Make My Heart Clap!”
My Heart Claps for You, Valentine!”

Once you have the heart clappers, here’s what you’ll need to do to create your own Heart Clapper Valentines using our free printable tags:
1. Download our “Clappy” Happy Valentine printable tags HERE.

2. Save as a PDF file and then print the file. We highly recommend printing on Matte Photo Paper (it’s thick like card stock, but it gives a really crisp image when printed). Just make sure you choose the proper ‘paper type’ from your printer’s settings so you get the best finished product.

3. Cut the tags to your desired size. The best part about our printable…you can choose what size you’d like to use! Cut the full design for a gift tag or if you want a smaller tag…only cut out the ‘pennant’ shape in the middle, too!

4. For stringing your gift tags on the heart clappers, we used our colorful baker’s twine. We created these printables to match our line of colorful, vibrant baker’s twine in the following shades: Maraschino, Pink Sorbet, Caribbean, Honeydew, Lilac & Cantaloupe

5. Grab your tags and supplies, then go to town!  Have fun!
It’s been so much fun spending time over here at Chesco Moms today!

I hope you enjoy our free valentines and we hope you’ll stop by The Twinery Blog or Facebook Page to say hello!

Getting Crafty with Nicole – FREE Printable ABC Party Banner

September 8, 2011
I know that everyone loves a great free printable…but sometimes not all the printables out there are super practical (example: the printable is for a pink polka dot party…and all you have is boys!). As I was thinking about what kind of fun free printable to make – to celebrate my 1 year Anniversary of The Twinery – I wanted to create something that was practical….and that you could use whether you have a boy or a girl…whether you are celebrating a birthday or another special occasion!

So…with a little help from my daughter (who has been practicing writing out the alphabet in preparation for 1st grade)…I created a versatile banner set – a FULL collection of the ABC’s!

Each piece on the banner has a different letter on it…equaling 26 letters in all…A through Z!

So – you can print them out all together or just select the letters (pages) you need to use for your special occasion…

Create customized, one of a kind banners whenever you want to!

Spell out “Happy Birthday” or “Celebrate” or even your child’s name! The possibilities are endless!! Have fun!!

* I recommend downloading this document as a PDF and then printing it…that will ensure that all the lines, jots, and letters align properly! Keep in mind…to print out the entire alphabet – it’ll take 13 sheets in all! It’s a big one!

Options to print:
1. Click “Print” on the table above to print the calendar with standard quality.
2. Recommended way to print: Click the link directly above the table above. This will lead you to a scribd.com page that will have our calendar. Click on “Print”…then choose the High Quality Download & Print option. Save the document as a PDF to your own computer – saving it as a PDF ensures that no details of the calendar will be lost, distorted or resized. If you save it as a PDF, you’ll just need Adobe Reader to view and print the calendar. Adobe Reader can be found here for free.

Back to School Ideas…Adorable FREE Teacher Gift & Lunch Box Love

August 18, 2010

Our Crafty Gal Pal Nicole from Lil Boo & Co. created a fun freebie for anyone looking for a way to say “Thank You” to teachers – to express a simple heartfelt thank you for helping your child bloom into a smart little genius this year!

Hope you enjoy these printable Thank You cards for teachers!

TEACHER THANK YOU CARDS
They would be great to attach to a gift with a message expressing your thanks or they would also be great to give as a blank set of note cards to your child’s teacher for their own personal use throughout the year – just print off a few copies & pair them with envelopes to create a note card set.

Simple Instructions:
1. Click here to download the document as a PDF file.
2. Print document in color on a sheet of white heavy card stock (8.5 x 11).
3. Using scissors or a paper cutter, cut paper in half & fold each piece creating note cards – to get precisely folded note cards, use a bone folder. If you would like the corners of the note cards to have the rounded look (as shown in the picture above), you can use a corner paper punch.

Each printed document will create 2 note cards. If you would like to pair them with coordinating envelopes, I recommend purchasing A2 envelopes in red, chartreuse or sunshine by Paper.

Free Printable Lunch Box Notes
Want to tell your mini’s how much you love them in the middle of the day while they’re at school? Lunch box notes are the perfect way!

Click here for free printable lunch box note cards that you can use to tell them just how much you miss ’em!

Simple directions:
1. It works best if you download the file as a PDF document (don’t just press print).
2. Print the document on heavy, white card stock.
3. Use scissors or a paper trimmer to cut the cards out
4. Add you little love note & place a card in your child’s lunch box.

It’s a perfect way to add a little sunshine to their day!
