Barnes & Noble Kids’ Club!

November 2, 2010

I love to read. And I am hoping that our nightly bedtime sessions (along with just spur of the moment story times throughout the day) will cultivate that same love in my children.

I also am a lover of book stores. Small independent ones as well as the big name chains.

So I was very excited when I saw an email in my in box last week announcing the creation of the Barnes & Noble Kids’ Club! Membership is FREE (hooray!) and there are some great benefits including:

  • 30% of any one kids’ book or toy as a “welcome” gift to the program (some restrictions and rules apply, please see the Barnes & Noble website for further details)
  • a $5.00 reward for every $100 spent on kids’ stuff both in stores and online (the reward is in the form of a certificate issues via email, maximum of 4 can be earned per year)
  • a free cupcake from the B&N Cafe for each of your children’s birthdays

For more information, including details on how to join as well as commonly asked questions, please visit the website for the Barnes & Noble Kids’ Club. (And a friendly little FYI: a few of my friends joined this past weekend and when asked for your birthday on the first screen, it really does want your birthday – you will get to input your child’s information later on. Also, you get the option after signing up on line to have a card mailed to you or you can go directly to your account – I’d suggest filling out the form first, then go back into your account if you need to add additional children to the membership – I sort of found out the hard way!)
