Downingtown Good Neighbor Day a July 4th Tradition

The Downingtown Good Neighbor Day Committee’s activities benefit the ambulance and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. Good Neighbor Day is a day long event that starts with the Run for Life (5K, 10K & 15K) and 5K Freedom Walk at 8:00 a.m. Approximately 1,500 athletes participate each year.

Throughout the day you can enjoy fabulous food, visit 80-100 craft exhibitors or simply enjoy one of the many activities scheduled for the day. The day is capped off with a Fireworks Grand Finale that starts at 9:30 p.m.

Exton/West Whiteland: Fire work display is on JULY 5th at 9:30PM. Albert C. Miller Memorial Park (near Mcdonald’s). For more info please click here . FREE
Longwood Garden’s: Fireworks & Fountains. Show begins at 9:15PM. Click here to order tickets. Ages 16 & over: $34/Pass holders: $27 ; Ages 15 & under: $18/Pass holders: $12
Mom tip: Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Ludwig’s Corner UPDATE: 7/1/09 – Received a comment from one of our readers letting us know Ludwig’s Corner is not hosting their fireworks display this year. Such a bummer! It has always been such a great display.

Nottingham Freedom Fest: Sponsored by Herr’s! JULY 4, 5:00 – 10:30 pm Nottingham County Park. $10 parking fee. No admission fee for festivities. Lots of info on Freedom Fest website about where to park, shuttle info, amenities, food vendors and rain date details.
Parkesburg: Minch Park is scheduled to have fireworks 7/3 at 9:30 pm

Tredyffrin Township/Chesterbrook: Concert and Fireworks at Wilson Farm Park in Chesterbrook on JULY 4th. Jazz Concert- 7pm – 9pm. Fireworks begin at 9pm. Directions to Wilson Park: Route 202 South, take Chesterbrook exit, right onto Chesterbrook Blvd, right to 500 Lee Road. FREE
