"Your Songs" by Harry Connick, Jr. are my new favorites!

October 14, 2009

Looking for some new music to listen to? Well, look no further. I have a great album for you to try! Thanks to the fabulous ladies over at One 2 One Network, I was given a copy of Harry Connick, Jr.’s newest release to listen to and review.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Harry’s new album called “Your Songs” covers some wonderful tunes from various hit-making artists. Sometimes I love songs being “covered” by other artists, and sometimes it just does not work for me. I was excited to get my hands on Harry’s tracks to see what he had done with these classics!

I have to say that I LOVED this album. Harry’s smooth voice and cool vibe gives each of these songs new life. I’ve always liked Harry’s work, but I have to admit that I really only know of his songs from his radio hits. Up until now, I have not ever owned a Harry Connick, Jr. album. After hearing “Your Songs”, I would confidently guess that Harry could sing the Phone Book and it would sound like heaven to me. His voice captured my heart and really made me sit back and relax while listening to these velvety tracks. I can’t wait to put this album on the playlist for my next dinner party! And, guess who is going out to purchase more of Harry’s music?
