A Fundraiser for Casey ..

August 10, 2009

Casey Taylor and her twin sister Megan were born on September 26, 2008. Casey and Megan have a two year old sister, and an eighteen year old brother. Not long after her birth, Casey was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. After countless doctor and hospital visits, her parents were faced with the terrible news that she would need a liver transplant. Her mother and father made the trip to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania with the hope of saving Casey’s life. Her father was a match and on May 21, 2009 he donated a portion of his liver to help her survive.

Casey and her dad have been in Pittsburgh since May 2009 while the rest of the family is in Florida. They miss Casey terribly and hope to see her beautiful smile soon. They have been apart for many months and have endured more sadness and tears than any family should have to. Their love and faith has kept them strong. They are a family torn by circumstance but united by undying love. They know how blessed they are to have Casey in their lives.

Casey is slowly on the road to recovery. She has overcome many hurdles but still has a long battle ahead. Countless thoughts and prayers sent to her have made her stronger.

Casey’s loving Aunt & Uncle (Kristen & Andrew Taylor) live in Chester County and are hosting a fundraiser to help cover Casey’s medical expenses. COTA (Childrens Organ Transplant Association) supports donations for her fund.

Please join us on Thursday, August 20th from 5PM-close at the Red Robin on Rt. 113 in Lionville. Come for dinner anytime between 5pm and closing, mention you are there to support Casey Taylor and 10% of your bill goes towards Casey’s COTA fund.
