Chester County Art Association presents BRAvo… art heals

August 11, 2010

BRAvo Embellishing Party *this* Thursday 8/12 at CCAA

Get out your glue-guns and bring along as many embellishments as you can, because Thursday, August 12 from 5:30 – 7:30pm we’re having a bra embellishing party here at CCAA. The embellished bras will be part of BRAvo…art heals, our fun, uplifting art bra exhibition and Gala supporting breast cancer awareness. The exhibition will feature art bras made by celebrities, professional artists, athletes, creative would-be artists, and young people.

Most bras in the show will be for sale or auction. Cost is $20 to enter a bra / $10 if you are under 15. All proceeds go to Cuddle My Kids, a local cancer-related charity, and to CCAA. Click here for full information about the BRAvo exhibition or call 610/696-5600 x12.

If possible, please bring a new bra to embellish; we do have some extras here. Also note: we’ve extended the deadline to submit art bras to Friday, September 17.

Just a quick clarifying note from the manager at CCAA Exton…Classes are throughout the year. They are still happening. We resume our fall hours September 16. Meaning mommy and me classes go back to 11-12. We have temporarily canceled our adult classes with instructor present until Sept 16th, which is the last class of the day, in the evenings, due to schedule conflicts. HOWEVER, the studio area is open during that time for independent study. We are working on having a fill in teacher for adult classes. If you want to come by and use the materials that are there to work on a project with a girlfriend, by all means do! We have plenty of suggestions as to what you can get involved with. Please stop in!!! And thank you all for all of your generous donations of materials. We couldn’t do what we do without you! Karen
