At little about Dr. Hillwig: Dr. Cara Hillwig first learned about natural health and alternative medicine as a child, during summer trips with her father to the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, NY. An early respect for chiropractic was appreciated when it helped her mother to quickly recover from injuries caused by an automobile accident. Dr. Hillwig’s interest in health continued at Haverford College, Haverford, PA. And after graduating from Haverford with high honors in psychology, she continued her education at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT, where she earned both a Doctorate in Chiropractic (DC) [magna cum laude] and a Master’s Degree (MS) in Human Nutrition. In addition to her presentations before physicians, health care professionals, and the general public on natural pain relief in pregnancy, “getting your body back” post-baby, making your own baby food, healthy nutrition for healthier kids and a variety of other topics, Dr. Hillwig has been a contributing author for the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s Practice Guidelines newsletter, PhillyFIT magazine, and Main Line Parent. In her free time, Dr. Hillwig enjoys cooking, gardening, jogging, live music and spending time with her husband and two young children. Dr. Hillwig’s practice is located in Bryn Mawr, PA, about a block and 1/2 from Bryn Mawr Hospital.
