Disney Baby “Little Character” Contest

Motherhood in and of itself is just magical.  To think that you can love someone who you don’t even know, just because they are YOURS, it’s incredible to me.  When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I was still teaching.  So many of my colleagues were parents and they had lots of advice.  I will never forget the one friend saying to me, “You’ll know a love like no other that first night.”  I used to just say, “I know love, I love my husband!”  But then on February 2, 2009, our little girl was born.  At about 10:30pm my husband went back home to let the dog out.  Shortly after, Samantha (our baby) cried a ton!  I was alone in the hospital room, a new mother, so tired, so clueless!  But as soon as I picked up Samantha, she stopped crying!  Almost instantaneously, I began weeping.  I got it.  A love like no other.  I was her mother, she knew that, and we were bonded for life.  Absolutely magical.
