Narberth Dickens Festival is this weekend

Saturday, December 11th, thousands of locals come to see downtown Narberth be transformed into 1840s London. This is a Dickens-themed, free family event, complete with street musicians, carolers and performers, horse and carriage rides, period foods and crafts, a scavenger hunt for kids, and more.

The 2010 Narberth Dickens Festival includes:

– Ebeneezer Scrooge and all the characters from “A Christmas Carol”
– dozens of period-authentic costumed performers
– a free scavenger hunt & free prize for kids – 1pm to 3pm or while supplies last
– horse and carriage rides through the Narberth streets
– professional musicians
– authentic Victorian carolers
– candle-making and other craft activities for kids *New for 2010

– free fortunes from “gypsy fortuneteller”
– A Muppet Christmas Carol – free showing at the Narberth Movie theater *New for 2010
– Blues for Scrooge – two free puppet shows at the Library *New for 2010
